I wanted to come up with a pseudonym, and I guess Sam is as good as any.
Sam is a name I've commonly used on throwaway accounts. It's generic, it's male, it's unassuming. It reminds me of Samwise Gamgee. I'm not really big into LOTR, but Sam is gentle. He's loving. He cares so deeply and would put himself in danger for his friends. He's reliable. And, he also really loves potatoes and clearly has got it bad for Frodo, gay pining style. What could be a better placeholder name for me? I can't think of one.
It also reminds me of Sam Beckett, a scientist with multiple PhDs, an inescapable desire to do the right thing and connect with others meaningfully—and he looks bangin' in a miniskirt and camisole. Again, who else could I better pick to represent me?
I'm a trans guy, I'm gay/bi/queer what-have-you, I'm autistic, I'm ADHD, plus I have a bunch of other mental disorders that I won't list here because this is getting too long, I'm femme, I'm a polymath, I'm a huge Trekkie, I love my friends and am getting into sound mixing, I love erotica (reading/writing/performing audio), and I love to reflect on and write about the autistic, disabled, and queer experience, particularly from perspectives focused on polyamory, sexual well-being, kinky joy, self-love, autonomy and personal agency, disability self-determination, dignity, quality of life, boundaries, overall mental health, and employment.
Catch up with me anytime at rainbowkeyboard@protonmail.com, as did I mention I'm gay and autistic? Maybe you can give me money or a nice pat on the head in exchange for me writing some words.
Much love to you, internet stranger!
Sam
